Positions

Up to 11 positions are available on a competitive basis each year in the Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Qualifications

Eligible candidates for the Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship must have successfully completed three years of postgraduate training in an accredited internal medicine program in the U.S. or Canada.

To ensure licensure, by January in the year the fellowship begins, candidates must pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination Step 3.

How to apply

The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) by Aug. 1 of the year preceding the program start date. The academic year begins in July.

We do not accept application materials outside of ERAS.

  1. Applications are submitted through the ERAS for fellowship applicants website. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials.
  2. Appointments to the program are made through the Cardiovascular Disease Match, which is part of the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) Medical Specialties Matching Program. Candidates must register for the match in addition to applying through ERAS.
  3. Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to interview in September and October of the year preceding the program start date with program directors and selected faculty.
